Since 1987, we have been dedicated to assessing and continuously refining our starch production processes to ensure we provide consistent starch products of exceptional quality to each of our valued customers in Canada, the U.S.A and around the world. Our systems and processes are continuously monitored, reviewed and refined to ensure we meet our customer’s needs today, as well as prepare for the demands of tomorrow.

Manitoba Starch Products is located near Carberry Manitoba, in the heart of Canada and western Canadian potato production. We are the leading supplier of Canadian potato starch product. Our starch is developed from potatoes produced by Manitoba processors, without the use of genetic modification.

Manitoba Starch processes raw potato starch into a usable product for food applications, direct use or second stage processing. History
Roger Moore founded Manitoba Starch Products in 1987. Roger designed the starch drying systems and began with a single contract. Over time, Manitoba Starch was successful in gaining contracts with other processors and the demand for starch continued to increase. A second plant was built in 2000, incorporating many improvements in design and allowing Manitoba Starch to significantly increase its capacity, and more than double its employees. Earl and Derek McLaren acquired Manitoba Starch in January 2002. In 2004, the food-grade expansion was completed with the addition of food-grade quality processing, packaging and monitoring equipment broadly expanding the market reach of Manitoba Starch Products to include food and food ingredient manufacturers.

Vision for the Future
Manitoba Starch will continue to be the largest processor of potato starch in Canada. Our processing capability will expand to include a wider range of raw and finished product options. We will be the preferred partner of potato processors in the Canadian and U.S. mid-western regions and our markets will extend throughout North America and the world.
